Up until now, I’ve been the public face of WordCamp Mid-Atlantic. Of course, with three cities and tons of logistics to take care of, sponsors to land and all the other details, it would be impossible for me to handle alone. I want to take a minute to introduce you to the organizers.
Alex is our man on the street in Philadelphia. He is the co-founder of Independents Hall, a thriving and model coworking community in Philadelphia and an evangelist and supporter of the global coworking community. Alex blogs at dangerouslyawesome.com and runs the fantastic “unsticking” service – wait for it – called unstick.me. Really, it’s about him being a sounding board for ideas and problems and helping people work through whatever they are stuck on.
Jimmy Gardner is the editor and proprietor of eastcoastblogging.com, where he documents the social and web scene in and around DC. He is a frequent contributor to events and a champion of the DC area technology community. He owns an IT consulting firm, 2 Plus 11 Technology and created My Drop Bin before selling it.
Aaron is the founder and lead editor of Technosailor.com. He is a business and social media consultant and loves to see people reach their potential through the use of social media. There is an overlap between useful social media and personal and corporate outreach and brand. His writing seeks to highlight those areas where the two overlap and eliminate the noise that is present in covering the news and buzz surrounding web startups and social media. Aaron has been involved in the web since early 2000 and has recently served as the Director of Technology for b5media, a WordPress powered blog network, as well as Business Development for Lijit, a social search application. His background is in technology – web development, scalability and WordPress development.
