Late last month the Pixelmator team launch a Pro version of Pixelmator. As a refreshed and new-designed image-editing app, Pixelmator Pro features a streamlined single-window interface, intelligent and simplified editing tools powered by machine learning. Now the app received its third update (1.0.3) with many bug fixes.
Without a Home button on your iPhone X, you must have some new gestures to learn.
Typically, you need to take multiple steps to force quit a running app on your iPhone X: (1) swipe up from the button edge of the screen, (2) pause in the middle to bring up app switcher interface, (3) swipe to find the app you want to force quit, then (4) tap and hold its card, and (5) tap the minus sign that appears to actually kill the app.
How to Force Quit Apps on iPhone X with New Gestures
To evoke the app switcher, you can also swipe right from the bottom left corner of the screen at a slight upward angle. When the app switcher appears, just hold the app card and drag it upwards in one continuous motion, the app will be force quit immediately.
Is there a faster way to force quit multiple apps on iPhone X? Do you have to swipe upward those app card one by one? Well, you can try this: after entering into the app switcher, tap and hold one app car until the minus sign appears in all app cards, then hold up to two or three fingers on adjacent cards and swipe up them simultaneously.
In this way you can force quit up to three apps at once. This gesture works in both portrait and landscape mode, and it makes multitasking more smooth on the iPhone X. Once you get familiar with all new gestures, things become faster than ever before.
Note that it is not really necessary to force quit an app unless it is frozen or drain your battery excessively. Force quitting an app and re-opening it will require your device to reload it, while the apps idle in the background are moved into a sort of sleeping state, so you can quickly access to it with less resource and battery consumed.
