Because of my small hands and the fact that most of the scenes I use my phone are on the road, I have always preferred small screen phones. I switched from the Pixel 3 to the iPhone 13 mini to the iPhone SE, which was working well, but after playing games with my colleagues for a few days, my thinking has changed a bit: the saying “bigger screen devices are better” may be true when it comes to gaming. The iQOO has always been known for its gaming experience, but after using it for a while, I think the daily use experience is actually very good:.
- The external V2 chip makes a significant improvement in daily photography compared to the previous generation.
- A simpler design on the back of the chassis, with materials chosen to be more suitable for everyday use rather than favoring heat dissipation.
- The new 8 Gen2 chip is more aggressive in daily performance calls, and the 2K resolution screen takes better care of usage scenarios outside of gaming.
The design of the back of iQOO 11 feels familiar to me, like the 10 Pro that I have experienced before, with the upper part of the patchwork mold removed and reunified, much simpler; the iconic three-color track design is retained. But this time the 11’s “silicone leather” material made me change my mind about vegan leather as a whole. In the dry winter season, the white leather on the back provides enough damping and doesn’t make the machine feel too cold.
Although it’s still in its debut, this generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processors seems to be a breeze to unleash in terms of performance. With a much better power consumption ratio than the previous generation Snapdragon 8 and an extra mid-core, the 8 Gen2 doesn’t hide its performance in everyday use, as devcheck statistics show that the CPU often runs at higher frequencies like 2.5Ghz. iQOO 11 doesn’t show any lag, and this crisp and clean feeling is what I find most meaningful in a mobile chip refresh.
I think the iQOO 11 gaming performance should not worry, from my previous experience with iQOO products, they are very happy to reverse the adaptation of the game, and even for some games heroes specifically do linear motor vibration program. Skill vibration is some kind of feedback for newcomers like me who have just started playing the game, I think, to the right side of the skill is the right side of the body vibration, the opening of the group really everything happens too fast for the eyes to care. Regardless of the performance mode and screen refresh rate, the phone’s experience has always been warm, and this phenomenon is also in line with the characteristics of this generation 8 Gen2 GPU low-frequency massive, make the right.
In fact, I’d love to talk about the iQOO 11’s photo performance. It comes with the same V2 chip as its own X90 series next door, so I’m guessing it will share at least some of its images; the triple camera system is also pretty regular wide angle, super wide angle and telephoto (portrait). Let’s start with the conclusion: it’s suitable for casual shooting, and it’s optimized for tonal style and portraits. For example, when a portrait is recognized in the picture, the location of the portrait is automatically recognized and the brightness is increased, while the rest of the picture is adjusted using “natural color” to adjust the style and the relationship between light and dark. For lazy retouchers, it not only solves the problem of difficult portraits, but also allows you to take photos with color style in one click.
Finally talk about the screen I think the biggest upgrade. First of all, my personal opinion, high brush and high resolution if only one of two options, I will not hesitate to choose the latter, because whether the screen is static or dynamic, high resolution brings the advantages of the screen content details are always there, especially in the scene of reading text and information flow. It is also a valuable screen with high frequency PWM dimming, which makes it a little less disturbing for those who are sensitive to screen flicker. For me, the experience of reading on WeChat is the most obvious improvement. Of course, iQOO 11 also has to take into account the gaming users, so this screen also supports 144Hz high brush frequency, with a focus on improving the smoothness of the system OriginOS 3, if you are an avid high brush enthusiast, you will be very satisfied with it.
I switch to 2K resolution every day, and I don’t feel that it has any impact on battery life, probably because of the new generation of E6 luminescent material, so my opinion on this screen is the same as 8 Gen2, “make it hard”.
If your priorities when buying a phone are the latest generation of flagship chips, excellent screen quality and a serviceable gaming experience, and you’re not looking for the icing on the cake like wireless charging and ultrasonic fingerprint, then the standard version of iQOO 11 will be more suitable for you.
